CrescentLink Desktop v.5.0 User Guide Series
Introduced in CrescentLink v5.0.0, licensing is now assigned to a user with a MyGEOGRAPH Account rather than assigning Authorization IDs to a specific computer. This gives the user the flexibility to install CrescentLink on multiple devices and sign in to CrescentLink on the device needed. It is important to note that you must sign out of CrescentLink before signing in on another device. There are two main ways to sign in.
CrescentLink Menu in ArcMap
To sign in while ArcMap is opened, simply click on the CrescentLink Menu from the CrescentLink Toolbar and select the "Sign in" option. This method can also be used to sign out of CrescentLink by selecting "Sign out" if already signed in.
Windows Start Menu
If you have issues signing in while in ArcMap or need to sign in or sign out while ArcMap is closed, simply click on the appropriate link under the CrescentLink Desktop program category as seen below:
Signing in or out can also be accomplished by manually executing the CrescentLink.Desktop.Signin.exe program with some optional arguments.
To sign in, simply execute the program with no parameters and you will be prompted for a MyGEOGRAPH username and password:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\CrescentLink\Desktop\CrescentLink.Desktop.SignIn.exe"
To sign out, run the same program with the optional "so" parameter as show:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\CrescentLink\Desktop\CrescentLink.Desktop.SignIn.exe" so
To sign out silently (no confirmation prompt) use the "q" parameter in combination with the "so" parameter as show below:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\CrescentLink\Desktop\CrescentLink.Desktop.SignIn.exe" so q
